What the model said
`0.html` was already in good shape, so I made six targeted fixes rather than a rewrite. None of it has been run: the syntax check I tried was blocked by the session's permissions, and I haven't opened the page in a browser. ## What changed All of these are in `/private/tmp/cgmzd/0.html`: | Problem | Fix | |---|---| | `novalidate` was hard-coded in the markup, so without JavaScript the form had no validation at all | It is now set from the script, so native browser validation still works if the script doesn't run | | The "Sending your message…" status was shown in green success styling before anything had succeeded | The pending state now has its own neutral styling | | Fields stayed editable while sending, so typing cleared the status and the text was then wiped by the reset | Fields are read-only while sending, and the status is no longer cleared mid-send | | The submit button still brightened on hover and shrank on press while disabled | Hover and press effects now skip disabled buttons | | The character counter used the browser's locale, so it could show "2.000" next to the static "2,000 characters" | The counter now formats using the page's language | | In forced-colors (high contrast) mode the theme toggle did nothing, because system colours override the page theme | The toggle is hidden in that mode | ## Left alone - **Placeholder URLs:** the canonical link (`https://www.example.com`) and the GitHub footer link are placeholders and need real URLs from you. - **`dns-prefetch` hints:** the four hints point at sites that are only outbound links, so they add DNS lookups for pages most visitors won't open. I'd remove them, but that's your call. The form flow is the part worth a quick manual check: submit with an empty email, then a valid one.
