This world did not exist until someone looked at it.
There is no seed, no database and no disk. The server was asleep. The first visitor woke it, and since then every piece of terrain has been decided at the moment somebody first looked at it, held only to what had already been seen nearby. The shimmer at the edge of the known world is real: it is the range of things that ground could still turn out to be.
Everyone here right now is looking at the same world.
When the last of them leaves, the server shuts itself off and the world goes with it. Nobody will see it again, including whoever made this. If you want a record, keep a copy. It will be the only one.
